Resellers who work with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions to distribute IBM and Sun Microsystems solutions are logging onto a new portal today to conduct business with Arrow.

The new portal, called “MyArrow,” provides a secure, comprehensive site where Arrow ECS resellers can access programs, tools and data online whenever and wherever they need to. 

MyArrow is part of Arrow ECS’ initiative to improve operational efficiencies and increase coordination with resellers and suppliers.  The cornerstone of the initiative is the implementation of the Oracle technology platform across all groups within Arrow ECS.  The North American Sun/MOCA Group successfully transitioned to the new platform in April 2008, and the launch of MyArrow marks the completion of implementation for Arrow ECS’ North American IBM Group. 

“Through MyArrow and other vehicles resulting from our Oracle implementation, Arrow ECS is improving our ability to serve as a true channel manager for suppliers and resellers,” said Andy Bryant, president of Arrow ECS.  “This tool improves the customer experience by enabling resellers to manage the entire sales lifecycle in one central, easy-to-navigate location.  In addition, we have added several features that improve our ability to communicate with resellers so they are aware of new products, sales promotions and resources available through Arrow ECS.”

Within MyArrow, IBM and Sun resellers with Arrow ECS can access all of the programs and tools they enjoyed previously.  However, many resources such as item and price searches, order tracking and account balance summaries have been improved with better functionality.  In addition, several new features have been introduced, including:  

• A robust invoice system with capabilities to search, download, export and print
• Personalized pricing correlated to authorizations and certifications
• Service annuity tracking

“These services are the cornerstone of Arrow ECS’ value-model, and making them available online saves time for resellers so they can focus on growing their business,” said Bryant.

In the coming weeks, MyArrow will feature a relationship management system that will better enable Arrow ECS to share and collaborate on leads and opportunities with resellers.

Arrow ECS’ North American HP, Storage and Alternative Technology groups are slated to join the Oracle platform and transition to MyArrow later this year.  Transitioning Arrow ECS’ European, Middle Eastern and African businesses to the new platform will be assessed after the North American operations are completed.
