Arrow Recognized For Diversity In TechnologyArrow’s Lalitha Oruganti is featured in the June/July 2009 issue of Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology magazine. Ms. Oruganti, a corporate supplier manager for Arrow, is among seven individuals profiled in the feature, “Semiconductors & electronics: vital industries still need the best,” that highlights talent in these technical fields. While her role in Arrow’s supplier services group is primarily focused on sales strategy and marketing for Arrow’s supplier customers, Ms. Oruganti has a technical background, having received her BSEE in India and her MSEE at Florida State University. Ms. Oruganti says her engineering background is a great strength in her role at Arrow. “My understanding from a technology standpoint is essential. It helps me differentiate between products and articulate the business value they have in the market. I am also able to explain to our management and sales team why it’s important to support certain products.” “At Arrow, we believe that a diverse workforce drives superior business performance by creating a more stimulating work environment, that is reflective of the world we compete in today," said John McMahon, senior vice president of global human resources for Arrow Electronics, Inc. “Arrow’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is as important to our corporate culture as innovation, quality and service excellence. Together, these variables comprise a holistic approach that encourages employees to contribute at their highest levels of performance.” View the article on Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology. |
